Our little town of Farnborough was once called Ferneberge in Saxon times, a name meaning “Fern Hill”.

Obviously this has been corrupted over the years, unless there’s a better term for the change, to Farnborough.

I’ve been coming to this town for the Farnborough Air Show since 1978 and lived here since about 1999 and a lot has changed in the last 3 decades.

Today, walking through town, I thought, with the drastic change of demographics in the last few years, that we now call this town Foreignborough.

And before you say anything, yes I know, I’m married to an immigrant :-)
