Crimson Startups Ltd, the publishing company behind the Startups and GrowingBusiness websites, has announced its acquisition of is4profit Ltd, who run the www.is4profit.com small business advice portal.
In a news story on Wednesday, Crimson said it was “delighted” to announce the acquisition, adding the is4profit brand to it’s “market-leading portfolio of business websites.”
David Lester, entrepreneur, former Director of Watford FC, and Crimson’s founder and CEO, said that the deal “signified a statement of intent” for the Crimson group. Speaking on the Startups news channel on Wednesday, Lester said of the deal:
“We have an unbeatable group of business websites catering for the entire spectrum of the small and medium-sized business community.”
“Brian Jack has put years of time and effort to make is4profit an essential source of vital information for established small businesses needing to keep abreast of all the changes affecting them.”
“We are delighted to be able to continue Brian’s excellent work and the is4profit acquisition only enhances our position as the leader in this market.”
“We’re determined to continue providing the very best help and inspiration for UK business owners operating in a space so vital to the nation’s economy.”
Ian Wallis, Crimson’s Editorial director, also commented on the company’s plans to grow the well-established small business portal:
“is4profit is already doing a great job and we will look to leverage our knowledge of the small business marketplace to maintain and grow the site with dedicated resource.”
“It’s a great addition and sits very neatly between our Startups.co.uk and Growing Business audiences as an essential resource for small business owners who are beyond the start-up phase but need answers to some of the questions and headaches they deal with.”
With a domain name established 13 years ago and around 40,000 pages of business advice and business news indexed in Google, the is4profit website is a good fit with the other brands in the Crimson portfolio.
